We are a community of believers who come together to experience God in a joyful way, whether we're at a service, a special event, or simply spending time with our small group. We teach biblical truth so that you can understand it, relate to it, and apply it today! Along the way, we sing, and laugh. We teach and pray. We roll up our sleeves and get involved. And sometimes, we just sit quietly in the presence of God.
Small groups are a vital part of what Bay Park Church is about.
One of the primary ways that we express and experience God’s community at Bay Park is the small group.
Our small groups are one important way that we endeavour to realize our purposes of worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry.
While each group will primarily emphasize one or two of these purposes, each of the purposes figures into the life of the group. Within a group of 8-12 people, life needs, challenges, and joys can freely be shared, counsel offered and support given. Each person will gain a sense of belonging thus addressing our fellowship aims.
In this setting too, personal interaction with God’s word is facilitated and accountability for appropriate response both in terms of obedience and character development is offered. It is through learning and obeying that we grow to be devoted followers of Christ. Moreover, small groups can serve as teams for specific ministry endeavours.
At Bay Park we have groups that seek to achieve these different purposes meeting at different times in the week and at different places to facilitate your life of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism.
